Well I guess I will not see Billings for a while but twice in one month seems sufficient.
The hotel in Billings was nice and the price was great. I highly recommend this location, besides like I mentioned last night, there is a Fuddruckers across the street.
Currently the Baymont is in second place for the tour “value stay” behind the Roadway Inn Idaho Springs, although I must say the send off team was a nice touch.
Back to the ride…
Today was basically a easterly interstate drive on I-90 and I-94 clearing Montana and picking up #48 North Dakota (I know North Dakota was the 39th state but it is #48 on my states ridden list).
About North Dakota… being from Lubbock and having a real appreciation for farm land I found North Dakota to be a beautiful ride. You’re not gonna see the Rocky Mountains like Colorado or the Oregon cliffs but you will see great farmland and rugged terrain…
… you could see “Geese in Flight” along the Enchanted Highway, Guinness World Record holder for Largest scrap-metal sculpture…
… or if you look real close you might even spot Salem Sue, the worlds largest Holstein cow.
I pulled into Fargo around 8:30 and i’m glad to say we have a new tour “value stay” contender tonight, I will report back after the free breakfast 🙂
Out of the chute early tommorow to make a 9:00am appointment @ Apol’s HD, need the 10k service (1,600 late).
